In fact, Kelce’s target share has surged to 29.5%, ranking him among the league’s most utilized tight ends, with Tampa’s defense being just the matchup he thrives in—they’ve allowed the 2nd-most fantasy points and the 3rd-highest catch rate to tight ends over their last five games. But with the Chiefs being heavy favorites, some might worry about game flow limiting his looks. So, with Mahomes looking to him as the reliable red zone target and Tampa’s linebackers ranked 5th-worst in coverage, Kelce is primed to clear 11.35 fantasy points comfortably.

Baker Mayfield’s been lighting it up through the air, stacking up 37 completions in Week 8, which is exactly why this higher play is intriguing. Tampa Bay’s setup this week—a massive 9-point underdog—is a prime game script for Mayfield to keep airing it out as they chase points against Kansas City. But the Chiefs’ defense isn’t a walkover; they’re ranked as the 9th-best coverage unit this season, and their cornerbacks have consistently limited completions. So, with Tampa’s projected 2nd-highest pass rate among all teams this week, expect Mayfield to pass early and often, making 19.5 completions well within reach.

Cade Otton has surged as Tampa’s go-to option with Evans and Godwin sidelined, and he made the most of it last week, pulling down 9 catches for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns. This week, he lines up against Kansas City’s defense, which has allowed the 2nd-most adjusted receiving yards per game to tight ends—a defense that simply hasn’t been able to contain the position. But there’s always the challenge that Otton’s efficiency could dip against KC’s pass rush, which ranks 2nd-best among defensive tackles. So, with Tampa’s 8th-best offensive line and Otton now averaging 46.0 adjusted receiving yards per game this season, he’s primed to surpass 39.5 yards in another high-volume spot.

Xavier Worthy has steadily carved out his role in KC’s offense, and his consistency is growing—he pulled in 4 catches last week despite heavy defensive attention on Kelce and Hopkins. KC’s projected 3rd-most pass-focused offense gives Worthy a high target floor, especially in a matchup against a Buccaneers defense that’s been a pass funnel, enticing opponents to throw the 4th-most times per game. But Tampa’s defense ranks 1st in catch rate allowed to receivers, which could make his catches tougher to come by. So, with Worthy’s recent performance and KC expected to call 66 plays, he’s positioned well to clear 2.5 receptions in this high-paced contest.
