Any-Time TD TE Only
Football is rolling into Week 12, and the TE end zone edges are clear. Here are my favorite Anytime TD plays… in two minutes or less
|
#4 - Trey McBride
Trey McBride has been on an ABSOLUTE HEATER since Jacoby Brissett took over, scoring in five straight games, the longest active touchdown streak by any tight end in football. Over that span, he ranks 3RD among all skill players in fantasy points per game, trailing only Christian McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor, which shows just how dominant he’s been. But here’s the key: Jacksonville’s defense is a red-zone invitation.
They’ve allowed the 3RD-HIGHEST touchdown rate, the 3RD-MOST fantasy points, and the 3RD-HIGHEST share of points (25%) to tight ends this year. The Jaguars are also bottom-tier in yards and touchdowns per target to the position, giving up 7.8 yards per target (22ND) and a 7.8% TD rate (27TH). So with Brissett feeding him on play-action and McBride commanding every key look inside the 10, this number feels like a FREE SQUARE for another end-zone spike.
#3 - Mark Andrews
Mark Andrews has always been the Ravens’ red-zone cheat code, owning 27.6% of all red-zone targets and an elite 31.8% of end-zone looks. But this week sets up even better, as the Jets’ defense ranks as a BOTTOM-3 unit against tight ends, allowing the 2ND-HIGHEST touchdown rate (9.7%) over their last five games. Andrews also leads the team with a 32% end-zone target share, giving him unmatched scoring leverage in this offense.
The Jets’ coverage design forces short throws, and tight ends facing them have converted catches into touchdowns at nearly DOUBLE the league-average rate. He’s also seen multiple red-zone looks in 4 of his last 5 games, proving his usage isn’t fluky, it’s a built-in part of Baltimore’s offense. So even in a low-yardage role, Andrews’ red-zone equity and matchup combine for one of the clearest touchdown paths on the slate.
#2 - Brock Bowers
Brock Bowers has been an every-down weapon since returning, running routes on 80–100% of dropbacks and commanding a team-high 35% target share vs MAN coverage, which is huge because Cleveland plays MAN at the 2ND-HIGHEST rate in the NFL. That’s the exact coverage he’s built to destroy. The Browns have quietly been vulnerable to tight ends, giving up the 4TH-HIGHEST touchdown rate over their last five games, despite their overall defensive reputation.
Bowers has dominated from in-line alignments, averaging 5.6 yards per route with an 87% catch rate, and he’s been on the field for 71% of red-zone snaps since returning to full health. Cleveland allows 8.5 yards per target to tight ends from in-line, one of the 10-worst marks in football. So between usage, coverage fit, and scoring opportunity, this matchup is almost engineered for Bowers to PUNISH this projection.
That’s the list. The best Week 12 scoring spots won’t stay hidden long, strike now and own Sunday.
As promised, in two minutes or less.
See you out there,
