Any-Time TD
Football is rolling into Week 7, and the end zone edges are clear. Here are my favorite Anytime TD plays… in two minutes or less.
|
#5 - D. Adams: O 0.5 Total Touchdowns
Davante Adams is sitting on a breakout, everything points to it. He leads the ENTIRE NFL with 68.8% of his team’s end zone targets and owns the 3RD-HIGHEST red-zone target share among wideouts. Last week alone, he saw three end zone targets and just missed on another deep shot. That kind of volume doesn’t stay quiet for long.
Now he gets a Jaguars defense that’s been one of the WORST in football at stopping outside receivers, allowing the MOST fantasy points to the position and ranking near the bottom in third-and-short conversions. With Puka Nacua likely out, Adams slides into a true WR1 funnel against a unit ranked 3RD-WORST vs WR1s. This is classic two-TD upside territory.
#4 - T. Warren: O 0.5 Total Touchdowns
Tyler Warren has become one of the most reliable scoring options in football. He’s found the end zone in THREE STRAIGHT games, saw a 30% target share last week, and continues to earn Daniel Jones’ trust in big moments.
This matchup is tailor-made for him. The Chargers allow the 3RD-HIGHEST touchdown rate to tight ends and run heavy Cover 3 and Cover 4 looks, exactly what Warren DESTROYS. He’s targeted on 35% of routes against those shells, averaging 3.86 yards per route run. Pair that with extra red-zone chances off turnovers and a team on a TEN-DRIVE scoring streak, and Warren’s odds to score again are elite.
#3 - R. Odunze: O 0.5 Total Touchdowns
Rome Odunze is due for a bounce-back, and the numbers make it crystal clear. He’s led Chicago in targets in 4 of 5 games and commands a MASSIVE 55% of their end zone looks, usage reserved for true WR1s. He nearly added another touchdown last week before a penalty wiped it away, and his down week was more about QB accuracy than his role.
This week’s matchup flips everything in his favor. The Saints have been BRUTALIZED by opposing WR1s, allowing the 3RD-HIGHEST yards per target and a TOP-5 touchdown rate to the archetype. Their defense trails on 87% of snaps, forcing shootouts and early scoring windows, perfect for Odunze, especially with D.J. Moore banged up. This is set up as a true WR1 scoring script.
#2 - J. Croskey-Merritt: O 0.5 Total Touchdowns
Croskey-Merritt has quietly turned into the COMMANDERS’ workhorse, and the role just keeps expanding. He played a SEASON-HIGH 66% of snaps in Week 6, his first game over 50%, and has now handled nearly 80% of the team’s backfield touches over the last five weeks. That usage alone screams trust from the coaching staff, even after back-to-back fumbles.
But the real story is the matchup. Dallas has been SHREDDED by running backs lately, giving up the 3RD-MOST yards per carry and a LEAGUE-HIGH 32% of runs that result in a first down or touchdown. Over the last three weeks, they’ve allowed three straight RB1 fantasy finishes: Josh Jacobs dropped 157 yards and 2 TDs, Breece Hall ripped them for 155 yards, and Rico Dowdle exploded for 239 yards and a score. In a game with one of the week’s 3 HIGHEST implied totals, Croskey-Merritt’s red-zone volume makes him a near LOCK to score.
That’s the list. The best Week 7 scoring spots won’t stay hidden long, strike now and own Sunday.
As promised, in two minutes or less.
See you out there,
-Joe
